Paper Valentines

James William Roy plays melodic guitar-driven mid-fi indie rock in the school of Guided By Voices (if their roots were fIREHOSE instead of The Who) and Neutral Milk Hotel (if they wrote shorter songs). "Paper Valentines" is a hearty slice of pop pie with a solid chugging rhythm section, guitars that go "brang!" (including a tasty solo), and righteous vocal harmonies that won't let go.
